How effective are the short versions of EFT?

The answer is very effective!.  In my video I show that you can just use one point (the karate chop) to just your face points to a routine of 8 points on the upper body.

This means that it can be done quickly and anywhere - I am told that on the London underground you often see people tapping their KC point - and why not - get rid of your self sabotage before you get to work or release any bad vibes on the way home!  The KC point is for self sabotage and your subconscious automatically knows what needs releasing so I suggest you use this as often as you can.  Watching the television is a very good example and you don't have to think, repeat phrases - just let the good work happen!

The face points can be quickly done in the loo if you are nervous, anxious or are going for an interview.  Again you can do it repeating a phrase or on their own - I suggest you start tuning into your intuition to find out what is best for you.  If you find it helps to repeat a mantra use something like fear or anxious.

The 8 point version is used by a lot of practioners and again this can be used with a repeated phrase, set up statement or just on its own - depending on what needs clearing, where you are and how much time you have.

If you are in a place that you cant tap then tap in your imagination on the points - this works just as well!

Remember tap on everything and do it consistently and you will get lighter and lighter!

This is my video about my weight loss book, Unlock your Maximum Weight Loss Potential, which is available on Amazon.  It is also being featured in this month's Soul and Spirit.

It is not like anything else on the market and comes from over 25 years of experience, research and results.  I still have a couple of stone to go but am working on why I want to hold onto it.

Do you know what a 'Weight Set Point Is?'

Do you know what a set point is?  It is a figure that your subconscious has created from your experiences and it refers to weight and money.  These two set points work in different ways though.  the money one wont let you earn more and the weight one wont let you weight loss - so they work the other way around but are basically stopping you doing what you want!

When I was in software contracting I earned a lot of money.  But when I looked over my accounts and compared the years, I virtually earned the same amount - despite time off in between contracts and different rates.  Why is this?  Because my subconscious decided that I wasnt allowed/deserved/ safe (or any other reason) to earn more than I did.  So it adjusted my situation so that the figure would be the same - yes your subconscious really is that powerful!  So I had to release my trauma, change my beliefs and then my money set point rose.  So even now if I suspect that my subconscious is trying to stop me earning more, I take a step back and look at what has come up.  Remember everything is in layers so although you think you may have cleared a certain belief or trauma another aspect may be displaying itself for healing.

So your subconscious will definately have a set point for your weight.  This again is based on trauma, beliefs, patterns and blocks.  This will also explain why you can't lose weight or if you lose weight you will put it back on virtually immediately.  The press is full of articles saying that people who have lost a lot of weight will put it back on because they go back to their old eating ways.  That is not true - if you have lost a lot of weight there is no way you would put it all back in three months.  You may put back a few pounds but not everything.  This is because your subconscious realises that you are below your set point and will pull out all the stops to putting the weight back on - and it seems like you have no control over it and seem to be sleep walking through the entire time!  I know this because it has happened to me many times.

Also you may have worked on your set point but a trigger like sexual attention may send your subconscious into meltdown and it will reinstate the old set point virtually immediately - this has recently happened to a client of mine.

So can it be changed?  Yes of course it can!  Firstly you need to meditate and ask your subconscious what your set point is.  If you get no response imagine what it would be. 

1. Look and heal traumas that have made you fearful - death, accidents, sexual abuse/rape/attention
2. Look at patterns of using your weight so you dont have to do something
3. Look at your eating patterns and see how they relate to triggers and traumas
4. Look at what happened in your life from birth to 7 and see whether you were loved and nutured or what messages you were given about food.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a great way of starting to release all of the above and decrease your weight set point.  It is good to work on the traumas and patterns first before you start to put in the positive.  Or book an appointment with me...........

Start tapping on "My weight set point is ....... and my subconscious is really happy at this level" - do this every day and watch if any memories, thoughts, pictures or anything else comes up and then tap on that as well.

Boosting your metabolism using EFT

To lose weight and keep it off you really need a good metabolism.  If you have an underactive thyroid, or are older + a variety of other reasons, your metabolism may be slow and it won't burn off the calories and that equals weight gain - that stays firmly put!  The best way I find to boost your metabolism is by using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT for short).  To begin with you will need to do every day but after a couple of months I would suggest once a week for maintenance.  EFT is really easy and there are full instructions in my book, Unlock your maximum weight loss potential, so I am not going to list the tapping points in this blog.

How to begin:

1. I would suggest that you sit quietly, close your eyes and ask your soul out of 100% what your metabolism is working at and go with the first number that comes up.  If you dont get an answer, guess what you think it might be.  Dont go for 100% to begin with, start with 5% above what you are getting and then build up.  Ask your soul what may be the reasons and include them in your tapping statements.  Again if you get nothing try and guess what they might be or just say metabolism and see what comes up.

2. Using the set up phrase say these three phrases:

"Even thought my metabolism is only working at 80%, I deeply and utterly love and accept myself and my metabolism"

"Even though my metabolism STILL only works at 80%, I deeply and utterly love and accept myself and my metabolism"

"Even though my metabolism STILL only works at 80%, I now CHOOSE that it works at 85% permanently and I am eliminating all the reasons why it is not working efficiently"

3. Using the tapping points you can use the following phrases:

a. I release all the trauma as to why my metabolism doesnt work properly
b. I release all of my stuck emotions etc
c. I release my need for my metabolism to work slowly
d. I release the need for protection which is keeping my weight high
e. I release all my patterns, blocks, fears etc

Do at least three rounds per session and ask every day if the percentage has gone up.  Once it has gone up you can then change it to increase by another 5%.  This is brilliant and everybody should use EFT - I would also combine it with other weight loss issues like overeating or comfort eating.

Why daily journalling will help your lose weight

To track what you are eating, your reactions to foods and your triggers to overeating, it is essential that you keep some form of journal.  This will give you motivation and encourage you to keep going - and to see what external forces are in play and stopping you sticking to your new healthy plan.  Once a week add your weight and your measurements so you can see the loss.  I dont believe in weighing each day as water can add a few pounds and then you will get despondant.  My book is packed full of information like this and so much more!

1. What you eat

Because it is very easy to snack and not know the full amount of what you are eating, it is a good idea to keep a food diary and roughly work out the calories.  So if you go over your limit one day you know to cut back immediately.  If it helps take a photo of what you are eating for each meal - this can really surprise you when you see the quantity!

2. Reactions to food

This means that you can immediately see if you have a reaction to a food/drink type - especially something filling you with water, bloating or actually putting on weight - and you can then eliminate it from your diet.  It also helps to see if combination of different foods cause a problem.  Bread and cheese may be ok but when you combine them into a sandwich they cause you problems

3. Hormones

This also helps track your cycle so you can see if you add any exta water or want to eat more at certain times - or crave certain foods.  Once again when you know this you can use EFT to help with the symptoms and the cravings

4. Emotions

If you write down how you feel every day it is much clearer how stressed you are and why you may overeat for comfort or emotionally.  This could be connected to your cycle or something completely different.  Once you have identified the triggers you can then use other techniques to release them and not use food

5. Exercise

Write down all exercise so you can see if you need to change what you do or increase.  Also track why you dont why to exercise on particular days

6. So you can see how far you have come

Using a journal is good for seeing how far you have come because it is very easy to forget.  You will see that you have tamed your emotions, lost weight and toned up and this will keep you firm to keep going!

Most weight loss books, and I have read most of them!, concentrate on a single diet plan or walking or a hormone - but we ARE ALL DIFFERENT - and what works for one doesn't work for all - especially if you have a serious weight problem.  Some people just need to cut their calories but this book is aimed at people who struggle and can't keep the weight off.
 
I was 12 lb when I was born and have struggled with my weight all my life.  I had a toning table/beauty salon and met thousands of women who struggled with their weight as well.  People will always tell you to do more exercise or diet which is so patronising especially when they are chomping away on something very fattening or quoffing large glasses of wine!
 
This book is packed full of information, techniques, research, and so many other subjects including beliefs and low self esteem and worth.  Some people do over eat because of this but a lot don't (including myself!) - but I also know a lot of slim/medium size people that eat a lot.
 
Over the next few months I will be blogging chapters from the book explaning what a complicated process weight loss is but how you will feel lighter in your body, mind and soul when you have healed all the issues.

Have you ever asked your body what it actually wants??!!

I have had a weight problem all my life and I have been on every diet going, starved myself for 7 years, cut out total food groups and done three hours exercise a day!  So my personality/ego/conscious brain thought they were doing the right thing for me but not once did I ask my body what it wanted or needed.  What I have been shown over the last six months is that you need to be in tune with your body elemental as it absolutely knows what is best for you.  Your body elemental is a ‘spiritual’ part of your body (similar to your higher self) that absolutely knows 100% what is best for you and your body.  So it knows what you should eat, what supplements you should take and what exercise you should do.

The best way to get in touch with this part of you is to go into deep meditation and ask for it to come forward.  Talk to it like you would talk to your best friend.  Ask it what its name is and really get to know it.  Thank it for trying to help you and say that you are sorry that you may not have been listening!!

If we don’t listen to our body elemental we could become ill – a lot of people have stress that is now affecting their adrenals – but you most probably have been given signs that you are on the verge of burnout but you have ignored them.  I know this because I worked for 14 hours a day for 25 years with a severely underactive thyroid and then got to the state of adrenal collapse. I couldn’t stop ‘doing’ and felt guilty if I sat down and did nothing – sound familiar?  I know somebody whose body elemental was trying to get him to slow down and when he didn’t listen he had three accidents – he thought he was unlucky but I knew his body elemental would make him rest in the end and it did by breaking his leg!

If you dowse with a pendulum or use muscle testing to ask questions, I would still suggest that you phrase your questions like this “Can I ask my body elemental if it wants to do hot yoga?”. So you are still being very particular and narrowing down the response.  So these are just a few examples of questions:

Can I ask my body elemental:

1.     Do you want me to take a multi vitamin

2.     Does it have everything in it I need

3.     Do I need to take it every day

4.     If so for how long

5.     If I don’t need to take it every day how often do I take it and for how long

 

1.     Do you want me to cut out wheat/diary/whole food groups

2.     If so for how long

3.     If not what can I continue to eat

4.     Should I eat it with other things such as protein, bread, pasta etc

 

1.     Do you want me to go on this detox/juice diet

2.     If so what would you like me to have in the juice

3.     How long would you like me to do it for

4.     If not what would you like me to do instead

 

1.     Do you want me exercise now

2.     If yes what would you like me to do and for how long

3.     If no why not and when can I exercise in the future

4.     Am I doing the right exercise for me

 
Recently I discovered the benefits of Kefir and was very excited and I asked if it was OK for me to take it and I got absolutely!  However, I didn’t ask how often and for how long – big mistake!  I was OK for a couple of days and expected to feel really good and then I was really ill – and disappointed!  When I asked how often a week I was supposed to take it my body elemental said twice and that I had also been taking too much at one go – so I didn’t get anything right then did I!  If you take supplements or herbs don’t assume that you should take them every day.  In fact, don’t assume anything!  Ask if your body elemental wants the biscuit in your hand, or the glass of wine or cake you are about to consume!  If it says NO but you really want it explain to your body elemental that you would really like it but that you will be healthy from then on!

How certain types of bacteria could be stopping you losing weight

There are many reasons why people can’t lose weight – I know that because I have written a 300 page book on the subject!!!  I haven’t looked at gut bacteria before but this article from the Daily Mail certainly caught my eye!  We have lots of stomach bacteria and it is all very important in our health wellbeing and our weight.  A company called Mapmygut will test your gut bacteria for you and then advise you on what diet to follow to improve the bacteria that is not in balance.  Here are some of the bacteria that could be causing you problems with your weight.  This could explain why you have trouble losing weight or gain it very easily – the lady in the article lost 3 lbs very quickly even though she had struggled before.  Her low levels of certain bacteria meant that her body was ultra efficient in taking all calories from food and conserving them as fat.

Ruminococcaceae – high levels of this bacteria is linked to obesity

Rikenellaceae – high levels of this bacteria is associated with being overweight and linked to a high fat diet

Akkermansia - should be 9-12% anti-inflammatory and improves blood sugar (the lady in the article was about 1%)

Christensenellaceae - dubbed the skinny bacteria so if it is low trouble you will have trouble losing weight

Bacteroidetes and firmicutes - good for extracting calories out of food which will add unwanted fat!

Same old diet advice really – avoid processed food and only drink a couple of times a week.  Fasting is good as are fermented foods like Kefir and Apple Cider vinegar.

Do you really want to lose weight? I bet you dont!!

I was 12lb when I was born and I then suffered with being overweight most of my life.  When I reached puberty I really whacked it on and then suffered with 3 weeks pms water retention a month so never lost weight again!  My mother had me on a diet from the minute I was born and as soon as she could, she got me on an exercise routine.  I remember spending hours on a chair doing leg exercises (because I had fat legs apparently!) and was made to run up and down stairs.  Nothing shifted the weight which made my mother even worse!!  Everything I ate was analysed and I was made to feel a freak.

I did lose weight a couple of times (I now know why as I had to attract my husband and various jobs) and when I was slim I was gorgeous and attractive.  So suddenly I was made redundant and the weight started to pack on - but not for the reason you think which would be to do with overeating. 

My subconscious had decided that I was too attractive and that it was only a matter of time before I left my husband and ran off with somebody else and that I wasnt safe.  So it took me out of a male situation and I ended up with my own beauty salon!  I then spent 17 years trawling from therapist to therapist and spending a fortune to find out why I couldnt lose weight.  It was only when I met somebody who would diagnose using muscle testing that she told me THAT I DIDNT WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT!  Well you could have knocked me over with a feather as I would have denied this.  But it just shows that you dont know what your subconscious is doing to you - and we are 95% subconscious!  So then I had to start investigating why:

1. I had been sexually abused from the ages of 3 to 6 and didnt want to be a woman - hence the weight on when I reached puberty
2. I didnt feel safe when I was slim as I was attractive and got too much attention
3. I had had various rapes/date rapes and was worried this was going to happen again
4. I had died of starvation/thirst in various past lives and this was causing me to hang onto the water and weight in this life.  I felt I wouldnt survive if I lost the weight

There were lots of other reasons but by god it took some shifting!!  If your subconscious doesnt want you to do something it can take a long time believe me! But I can now shift this for you so dont suffer in silence anymore!

Does your weight set point stop you losing weight - you bet it does!!

What is your weight set point and why haven't you heard about it before?  Well the doctors dont know about it - neither do most people in the slimming world either.

Your weight set point is controlled by your subconscious and it is the weight that it feels is the right weight for you.  This is its own interpretation of what it feels is safe for you - and this most probably means that it is not the weight you want!  When I had a reading/healing session one time the guy came up with the set point and explained why I would never get beyond it as my subconscious was hanging on from grim death.  So link to your soul and your higher self and see if you can intuite what your set point is - what would it be?

Well it is essential to get your set point down to the level you want so how do you do that.  One of the ways is by using Emotional freedom technique (EFT) and this will lower your set point (and can increase your metbolism as well) - another way is to book a session with me and I will use my unique healing techniques to lower it for good once and for all!

You also have a money set point so this could explain why you can never earn/save over a point.  When I was contracting I earnt good money - however when I added up everything I learned I realised that because of gaps in between contracts I earned the same every year - which was nowhere as high as I thought!!

Does everybody have starvation mode?

I hear this all the time from people - you have cut your calories down and you are now in starvation mode and you cant lose any weight.  Well now top doctors are saying that we should all be cutting down our calories as it is better for our body and helps resist disease.  Yes I did mess up my metabolism when I lived on 150 calories for 7 years but I did that because it was already messed up and I couldnt lose weight - especially after I gave up smoking which raises your metabolism by at least 200 calories a day.  I was also on stimulants and the weight was dropping off everybody else but not me!

So if this starvation mode exists how comes people like Kate moss and Posh Spice lose weight and stay so thin (and it is thin and unnatural for most people).  If starvation mode existed people wouldnt become annorexics would they?  Their body would stop at a weight that was healthy and they wouldnt lose any more weight.

I do believe there is a starvation mode but it is not caused by what the doctors say but from a variety of other things that I talk about in this blog all the time.  Some of these are:

1. Your subconscious does not want you to be slim for various reasons.  It is protecting you from sexual abuse, getting pregnant, too much attention from men, not wanting to step out of comfort zone, fear of failure - the list is endless!

2.  I also believe that it is to do with starving, being malnourished or dying of thirst in previous lives - and it could be more than one life.  Your body is frightened of this happening again so it holds onto the weight and the water so you dont die

I think these are the main reasons but there can be many others which I could identify if you had a session with me.  Dieting doesnt work for everybody and you need to find out what is the real cause.

The reason you cant lose weight is because you have a slow metabolism

I am so fed up with people saying slim people never overeat, emotionally eat or sit and watch the television.  Most of the slim people (or ordinary or slightly overweight people) drink alcohol on a regular basis, eat pizza and go out to eat at least once a week - and buy bars of chocolate and cake - somebody must be buying them!  My friend cut out drinking for 4 nights a week and lost two stone over 3 months - I dont even drink!

One of the reasons that you cant lose weight is because your metabolism is slow.  You could be born with a slow metabolism (like me) or something could have happened to make it slow down (like a shock, childbirth or an allergy). It could be genetic, your body type or constitutional homeopathy type. It could be a life plan to affect your weight and it could even be a past life!  When I gave up smoking I never lost weight again - this is due to the fact that smoking boosts your metabolism by at least 200 calories a day so even though I was careful and didnt substitute the weight started to creep on.  The metabolism is partly controlled by the thyroid glad but I feel it comes more from the hypothalumus (the boss of the endocrine system!) and doctors dont even recognise this or have anything to boost it up!  If you have a slow metabolism you will never lose weight or keep it off.  Remember every 10 years your metabolism slows down even further!

When I tell people I lived on 150 calories for 7 years they say no wonder your metabolism is shot - but I did that because my metabolism was shot before!  So I know I made it worse but I was desperate!  People say eat more food and especially protein but this doesnt work if you have a serious weight problem.  People say eat more of a certain type of food but this doesnt work long term or permanently.  The best way to increase your metabolism is to find out what homeopathy and herbs are best for you as they will address it permantly for ever.  Another good technique to use is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) as you can tap on your metabolism every day and increase it slowly.

I have made so many mistakes I cant tell you!!  Wrong therapists, wrong treatment, wrong face creams, wrong hotel - where does it end!!  So then I learnt how to use diagnostic tools and my life changed.  I never do anything, buy anything or go anywhere without testing that it is the best option for me!!

I never go to see a therapist or buy a supplement without testing - and I use this on my clients as well -because you always get the right info.  I went to 5 different homeopaths and not one of them got the right remedy for me because they were going by what I told them (ie thyroid) and their books.  But actually my main problem I now know is that my water goes inbetween my cells and not into my cells so I am always swollen but dehydrated!!  This is why I put on weight so easily and quickly.  So I used a pendulum and dowsed the right remedy - it identified itself and I immediately started to lose weight and water and my shoe size went down a whole size!!!

I can test for what age caused an emotion to stick or what trauma is causing your weight problem.  I discuss a few different types you can learn here but the ones I use mainly are dowsing with a pendulum and muscle testing (also known as kinesiology).  Full instructions are given here but remember it is practise and dont put your own feelings onto it!!!

 

HOW DOES KINESIOLOGY WORK?


Kinesiology (alternatively known as muscle testing) in its pure sense is a method of using manual muscle testing to obtain bio-feedback directly from the body. By using a light pressure to test muscle response, rather than muscle strength, you can gain information from your body that may not be easily obtained from your conscious mind.

With a positive or yes response, the arm remains strong. With a negative or no response, the arm is weakened. Okay…how does the muscle know?

The skeletal muscles are controlled by the nervous system. Electrical energy travels through the nervous system. When pressure is applied to the muscle in muscle testing, the muscle will either test strong or weak, depending on whether the energy is able to flow unobstructed through the nervous system.

Electrical energy that is not able to flow freely, blocked energy, is experienced as weakness by the nervous system, thus weakening the muscle. If the “answer” to the question is “no” or a substance that is being tested is detrimental, it will block the electrical energy in the body. As a result, the muscle will test weak. If the answer is “yes” or a substance is beneficial, the muscle will test strong.

Added to the fact that the body knows instinctively how to heal and what is best for it.  Also the electromagnet energy that surrounds us can give us information on what we need to take, what diet to stick to, what allergies you have and even what hotel you should stay in!!

In the early 1900’s a group of Chiropractors discovered that their clients got better when they were holding their body so they started to experiment with this.  George J. Goodheart invented applied kinesiology in 1964 and then combined it with various eastern therapies.  There are now numerous types of kinesiology practices – some just use it to diagnose or recommend, some claim to be able to permanently release or adjust a problem.

Surrogately: Muscle testing is great if you want to do something for somebody else, say a child or an animal.  You can either use a person (perhaps their mother or owner) or yourself.

Reversal: In some situations you may be reversed and that will mean that you will get the wrong answers. This can be caused by being stressed, dehydrated or tired. It is always a good idea to test for something that you know the answer to at the beginning – the best one is Are you ..........? If you or the client is reversed drink a glass for water and wait for 15 minutes before starting again.  There are some other techniques you can use and one is called Cross crawl – you can get details of this on the internet.

 

Muscle testing can be quite hard on the arms so you and your client need to remember that it is not a test of strength and should be done as gently as possible!  If the arm gets tired get them to lie down and use the muscle from the elbow to the hand.

It is vital that anybody you see as a therapist can make an accurate diagnosis.  I have had many therapies where the therapist worked from books, from answers to questions I gave and from their intuition and in every case their diagnosis was not accurate.  Although they may have had years of experience, they were using what they ‘felt’ was right, not what was indeed right. 

 

I would therefore like everybody to take responsibility for their life (and the life of anyone else they are looking after, which includes pets) and that means that they have to know exactly what decisions to make, what supplements or homeopathy to take, what physical treatments to have – even what moisturiser to wear.

 

To do this you need to have some form of diagnostic tool to use.  There are two excellent diagnostic tools that I use which give an accurate analysis of the problem and an accurate course of treatment.  These work on ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answers.

 

Remember that your body instinctively knows what is best for it and what it needs so the diagnostic tools are just tapping into this information.

 

I would recommend that you learn how to muscle test or use a crystal pendulum dowser and these are fully explained in this chapter.  I dowse in Boots for shampoo and conditioner (much to everybody’s amusement!). I never have a treatment or buy a face cream without dowsing for it first.  I even dowse on hotels in a country that I want to visit, in fact you can use it for everything.

 

When you read about dowsing and muscle testing you will think that I have gone totally mad (but you must be used to that now!).  But when somebody has done a muscle test analysis on you, you can instantly feel the difference between ’yes’ and ‘no’.  Then you become hooked and realise I am not as mad as you thought.

 

The best way of taking responsibility for your life and health is by having some form of diagnostic tool where you can either check someone else’s results or you can choose your own therapies and herbs.

If you don’t get any response to a question it will be because of the following:

 

  • It can’t be answered by a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer
  • The question isn’t clear enough and needs to be rephrased
  • The answer is not known, as there is free will involved
  • The question cannot be interpreted – for example you may ask “Will I be rich?” What is rich? You may need to ask “Will I earn £1,000 a week?”

 

Take the answer you get immediately and don’t analyse it – this means you are putting your conscious mind on it and the answer could be what you want rather than what is going to happen.

 

Muscle testing

 

Muscle testing (also called Kinesiology) is where your arm muscle (usually your right arm muscle if you are right handed and your left arm muscle if you are left handed) is used to answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions.  You start by asking the body to identify your ‘yes’ or ‘no’ responses.  Usually ‘no’ is a weak response (ie your arm will go weak when pressed down) and ‘yes’ is a strong response (ie your arm will not move when pressed down).

 

Normally you are in a standing position and you will be asked to raise your arm outstretched firmly to the side (but not locked) in line with your shoulder.  I will then ask simple questions such as “Is Ann ‘your name’?” and when I press lightly on your arm it will go down very quickly (unless your name is Ann, of course!).  Then I will ask “Is your name ‘xxx’?” and when I press on your arm it will remain in line with your shoulder.

 

You must NEVER try to force an outcome – let the arm give you the answer.

 

An example of you muscle testing somebody else:

 

  1. Stand behind your friend and ask them to hold their right arm out to the side of the body.  If they are left handed you should be using their left arm.
  2. The arm should be firm but not locked
  3. With your finger pressing very lightly on their forearm ask “Please give me a ‘yes’ answer”.  Note whether the arm moves freely or stays the same.  Whichever one it is will become your ‘yes’.
  4. Repeat Point 3 but ask for a ‘no’ answer – it should be the opposite response to ‘yes’.
  5. Then start asking questions that can be answered with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ response:

i.                 Is xxxxx deficient in Vitamin B

ii.           Put a bowl of sugar in the friend’s left hand and then ask: Does xxxxx have an intolerance to sugar?”

iii.        “Does xxxxx want to be promoted?”

 

Do have fun with these, they are just a taster for you to try but remember that muscle testing is an amazing diagnostic tool.  Some therapists will test you using other muscles of the body.

 

Your friend’s arm may get a little stiff or sore.  If this happens ask him/her to release their arm and do some gentle shoulder lifting exercises before resuming the pose.

 

Personal muscle testing

 

Wouldn’t it be handy if you could muscle test on yourself.  You could get clear and concise information on yourself in any situation - the good news is that you can!

 

I have two ways of doing this:

 

1. Programming of hands:

 

I programmed my hands to give ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answers.  I sat with both hands at right angles to my wrists.  I then said “Please show me a strong reaction as to which hand would like to be ‘yes’” and one hand will move downwards – this will then become your ‘yes’ hand (mine is my right hand).  Your hand may not move but you may get tingling or it may go hot or cold but there will be a sign.  If nothing happens, speak again until you get a reaction.

 

Then repeat the operation for ‘no’ – this should be your other hand!  It is like a cross between muscle testing and dowsing and it means that even if I am in the car I can ask questions about myself, for example, should I take a particular road to avoid the traffic.

 

‘Don’t know’ or ‘Unsure’ mean that neither hand will move.

 

2.     Self-muscle testing using fingers

 

It is amazing how your body reacts to suggestion and this particular exercise never ceases to amaze me.  I put my first finger on top of my thumb nail.   The way you programme your two fingers is by (a) keeping them together and (b) pulling them apart.

 

Ask your fingers to give you a ‘yes’ answer.  Your fingers will either be tight together or your first finger will slip off your thumb.  My ‘yes’ is that my thumb and finger stay tightly locked together (and I mean tightly).  When I ask for ‘no’, my finger immediately separates from and falls off my thumb – it still amazes me even to today.

 

You can also surrogately use muscle testing. “Should little Johnny have this vaccine?” is a very useful one.

 

3.               Programming of the body

 

You use your body in much the same way as your hands to programme it.  I asked my body “Please show me my ‘yes’ and my body swung forward.  I then repeated the operation for ‘no’ and my body swung backwards. Make sure you don’t fall over when you do this!

 

Dowsing

 

Dowsing with a crystal pendulum is also a good diagnostic tool and I use this method every day in my life.

 

Once again dowsing works on the energy that is surrounding you and will answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions.  It can also be used to find lost items and can be quicker than muscle testing for identifying other areas, such as which colour you should wear or the Bach Flower Remedy you should take.  I would suggest that you buy a pendulum and start practising (remember that practise with all therapies is essential) as you will come to rely on it wholeheartedly.

 

  1. Buy a clear quartz pendulum, wash it in warmish water and dry it lovingly.  Thank the dowser for coming to help you and as you are holding this lovely clear quartz dowser ask it to help you get the best results from your dowsing together (this is programming it).  Keep it safe and in a special container, perhaps a velvet bag.
  2. Holding the chain on the pendulum swing it slight backwards and forwards and ask it to show you its ‘yes’ response.  Note which way the pendulum starts to turn.  My ‘yes’ is a right (clockwise) circle.
  3. Repeat point 2 and ask for your ‘no’ response – mine is a left (anticlockwise circle).
  4. Repeat point 2 and ask for a ‘not sure’ response.  Mine is a diagonal swing from a north-west direction to a south-west direction.
  5. Repeat points 2-4 to double check your answers.
  6. Get dowsing! 
  7. Always thank your dowser for its help after you have finished a session and pop it back into it container. Don’t keep asking the same question otherwise your dowser will get fed up and start giving conflicting information.   Remember to wash it and reprogramme it from time to time.

 

Intuition

 

Everybody has this but most people totally disregard what they get.  How many times have you heard someone say that he had a ‘gut feeling’ – that is intuition.  When the phone goes and you know who it is before you pick it up – that is intuition.  You need to start listening to your inner dowser or muscle tester and when something comes up don’t try and reason with what you get, just accept it and write it down.

 

Meditation helps with listening to your intuition because you are quiet and are listening.  When you are busy and rushing around there is no time or space for anything to come in.

 

When you start trusting you will become more and more intuitive and remember that this takes practise too.

 

Non dominant hand

 

With the pen in your dominant hand write down the question you want an answer to.  Then immediately put the pen into your other hand and write down without thinking what you are writing.  This is the correct answer coming from your subconscious.
