Why do people eat so much at Christmas?

This is is a subject very close to my heart as I have been on a diet all my life, having been 12lb at birthday which in 1955 was very heavy!!  As I have an underactive thyroid with water retention I know that if I eat more than I usually do, the weight piles on!!  So at Christmas I have to plan, watch what I eat and cut down before and afterwards.  Luckily, as a veggie I dont have the fattening meat products and I dont like chocolate!

So why do people ruin their diets/health by eating 5,000 calories a day for three weeks and put on weight that it takes them to Easter to get off!!  Surely it is more important to have a few treats but still to eat healthily than put on 10 lbs that is a struggle to get off!  Alcohol packs on the weight, lowers your resistance and makes you hungry so this adds to the problem.

I enjoy Christmas just as much as everybody else and I eat what I want, but I plan and count my calories.  The problem is that the press/doctors say you dont have to count calories any more but that is not true - you need to know what you are eating - and if they are not important why do doctors have a daily recommendation!!!

How on earth can you change a dog’s behaviour psychically!

This is a question I get asked by prospective clients all the time but once they have experienced my techniques they never ask again!

It is important to train any pet, especially a puppy, as they need to have good manners and it is also to keep them safe.  It is very important to persevere with the training classes and keep it up so they get consistent messages.  I am a qualified dog trainer and despair sometimes that owners think their pets already come trained – and house trained!

But what happens if they are fearful, have aggression or continue to pull you over?  How do you train out grief, envy, loss, sadness, jealousy?  This is where I come in!  There are so many reasons why certain behaviour continues so I talk to the animals as if I was talking to a human.  I talk to their soul and find out what contract was made between pet and owner as they may be taking on some stress from the owner, or it may be a lesson for the owner in loving their pets unconditionally but having to persevere to heal the behaviour.

I then use my healing techniques to remove trauma, abuse, and any damage from vaccines – unfortunately I am seeing a lot more of this and it is showing itself as fear, manic behaviour or aggression – in fact I am seeing a lot of dogs with Aspergers, ADHD and autism and most of this is caused by vaccines!

I then start to reset negative beliefs like low self esteem, low self confidence and not being good enough – animals have the same emotions and beliefs as ourselves and that is why you have to be very careful what you say to them. If you say “you are stupid” or “you have done that wrong again” they take it on board (like a child or an adult) and they will believe it.  I see this time and time again, especially in horse and greyhound racing – and especially the showing world!  When a dog doesn’t win a title I see that the owner is furious and starts chastising this beautiful creature who has done its best.  I know most owners don’t mean it but you need to talk to your pet as you would talk to a child.  For example, “that was a silly thing to do and you won’t do it again will you” instead of “you are stupid”.

I then look for illnesses that may be causing a problem.  Thyroid problems can cause aggression and can change a dog’s behaviour dramatically.  They may be in pain or be feeling nauseous.  They may be taking on an illness from the owner and this could show itself as the same illness in the pet or a different one.  I am an expert on this as I have severe water retention and one of my beautiful Norfolk terriers tried to take this on for me and she swelled up with water.  This was until I realised what was going on and healed it.

Apart from my psychic and healing skills I also recommend Bach Flower Remedies and essential oils.  The behaviour needs to be healed from the inside out and Mimulus will help release fear really quickly when taken along with my healing.

One area that most people don’t talk about (or heal) is that animals are very sensitive and can pick up negative or black energy from people or situations.  If a puppy comes from a puppy farm it can have problems because of the negative energy of the place and the people running it.  Once this has been cleared and healed it is amazing how calm and confident the pet becomes.

In addition to this I also look at their past lives and karma and how that is affecting them now – and how your past lives and karma are affecting your relationship together – it really is fascinating stuff!

I work a lot with rescue dogs so that they can be rehomed.  They can be too lively and people walk past them or too shy.  They can appear aggressive but they are really terrified.  They may not like others dogs because they haven’t been socialised.  All of these issues and problems I can work on – for example I stopped a pug humping after her dinner in two days – and she was 7 years old and had been doing it since a puppy!

The techniques don’t work overnight and barking is the most difficult to stop as it is their safety mechanism.  But all owners have seen improvements in a couple of days and my animal communication sessions include one month’s free healing for one behavioural problem.  It is quite funny when I speak to owners because they will say “he is still doing .......” and I say “we haven’t worked on that we worked on ......”.  Because it has been healed totally the owner has forgotten that their pet even had it!

What to do in the event of a dog attack in the UK

Dog attacks - Everybody I seem to meet has had a problem with their dog being attacked by an owner who cant control their dog/s or wont take any responsbility. Even on sunday a terrier went for Monty and the owner just walked off. It is difficult to collect any details about the person but really every dog attack should be reported to the DOG WARDEN and then they can start to build up a picture of what is happening. Even if you have very few details PLEASE STILL REPORT TO T...HE DOG WARDEN!!!!! PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH EVERYBODY YOU KNOW WHO HAS A DOG OR KNOWS SOMEBODY THAT HAS A DOG..........
1. So try and get details from the person. Ask around the village or walk and see what you can find out about them (that is how I found the owners of the collie that nearly killed Hardy). When you start talking to people they can know the person or dog or know of others that it has attacked.
2. Try and take a photo of the person/dog - I know this isnt always easy but it is evidence
3. Try to get a registration number, car make and colour - this is how I knew who had attacked my friend's dog (Barney) as their car had a company logo on it
4. Try to take names of people who are witnesses or names of the people that you are told have had their dogs attacked
5. Be specific on location, date and time - the dog warden says this means that the area can be patrolled to catch the dog walker
6. Take pictures of all injuries and keep vets bills
Who to report dog bites to:
1. If a dog bites you contact the police but also contact the police if you know that a dog has attacked multiple times. They may not be interested but push it and least it is on record.
2. Always report to the dog warden and keep telling everybody to do the same - people are getting away with murder (literally!!) because people either don't know what to do or they dont think they have enough info or they don't think it will do any good - YES IT WILL!!
3. I have talked to the RSPCA about this. The RSPCA were very kind and went out to visit an owner that had attacked a previous dog but now they dont really have the resources. However, they did advise me that if it was a serious attack or you know of multiple attacks ring their cruelty line to see if there is anything they can do

Please email me on info@animalstalk2me.co.uk if you have had any experiences or advice

You don't have to live with PTSD now - you just need to find the right therapy

Post traumatic stress disorder is becoming one of the most serious problems of our time.  Caused by a serious trauma such as war, rape, abuse or an accident, it puts the body into the "flight or fright" mode permanently causing stress.  The sufferer can't sleep, can't eat and can't funtion.  Because people can't see what is going on, they are not always sympathetic and doctors and consultants prescibe medicine which is not always the answer.

Recently the Speakmans, who do a therapy similar to mine, worked for a man who had been involved in the 7/7 bombings and couldn't go out of the house.  The consultants had told him that he would never be cured - in one day he was able to revisit the underground where the trauma had happened.  ISN'T THAT AMAZING.

In my practice I use techniques such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Tapas Accupuncture Technique (TAT) + homeopathy and I am getting fantastic results.  Because trauma is stored in the body and needs to be released, techniques like counselling and CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) don't work full time - they give you tools to cope not to remove completely.

The beauty of EFT and TAT is that the client (or you) can do it anytime and any place - if they feel emotions coming up, anxiety, fear or in need of "putting in" something positive.  Again the beauty of EFT and TAT is that not only does it release the negative patterns and trauma, but it puts in the positive such as self esteem, self confidence and self value.

Obviously the trauma that causes the PTSD happened - nothing can change that.  But what can change is your feelings and attitude towards it.  Are you frightened about going in a car after an accident?  Do you have survivors guilt because you lived and others died?  Do you still relive the rape or your best friend being shot and killed next to you?  These feelings are released gently so you feel safe again and can live normally.

PTSD has an adverse affect on your adrenals which control your stress levels.  The more stressed you become the more the rest of your body is affected.  You may turn to alcohol or drugs to numb out the feelings, you may eat junk food or start self harming.  As part of the treatment this stress needs to be addressed and your adrenals healed as well.  Stress can make you really ill by causing cancer, heart problems and other life limiting illnesses.  The more you can calm yourself and your body down, the healthier you will become.

If you know anybody who is suffering with PTSD please forward them this post.  I am looking for 20 people to help FOC so please contact me on info@unleashyourfullpotential.co.uk to book an appointment.
